Guest Pilates Teacher, Simone Stoltze —
Simone’s fascination with the body and how it works has been a constant factor throughout her life. She started dancing at the age of 5 until early adulthood. After completing her Bachelors in Nursing Science, she practised as a registered nurse in various fields. While working ICU, Simone worked closely with medical professionals including physiotherapists and occupational therapists. During this time she noticed that the passive and active exercises done with critical patients really made a difference to that patient’s prognosis. She came to realize movement (even passive) is so important for healthy living and the building of strength to accomplish daily living activities.
When fellow ballet friend and colleague introduced her to Pilates, she became hooked after only one class. In 2012 she decided to try some mat based Pilates classes at Calgary Pilates Centre. The personal touch and attention to detail she received as a client, made her realize that Pilates has been her calling all along. Working with clients and seeing results has been her greatest joy. She is a fully certified STOTT Pilates instructor. She is also trained in TRX suspension method and Total Barre. She teaches full time in Calgary AB, offering privates, semi-privates and group classes.
